The SALTLICK menu is focused on expertly prepared steak cuts as well as a range of house hung charcuterie. SALTLICK sources its beef from premium farms and aged in-house for maximum flavour and tenderness. Meat is prepared over a high temperature custom built wood-fired grill to ensure every morsel of steak is hot, fresh, and caramelised to perfection.
The menu also features a variety of appetisers, sides, and desserts that complement the steak perfectly. The raw beef on marrow is a must-try, allowing for an option to add a large dollop of caviar. The creamy burrata and chargrilled grapes also make an interesting must try appetiser.
The dishes are beautifully presented and offer a creative twist on classic flavours, making for a memorable and enjoyable dining experience. A place that meat lovers should definitely add to their bucket list.
CHEF JEREMY
South African–born, Jeremy Hunt spent his childhood on a large dairy and cattle farm, renowned for artisan cheeses and free-range beef. Surrounded by a strong food culture that stems from farm to table, unwittingly had his future carved out for him.
Growing up surrounded by partial subsistence farming that was required to fill the pantries and deep freezes, Jeremy at a young age gained the knowledge that would later inspire his love for breaking down beef carcasses that would later feed his family.
Jeremy received his Cordon Bleu degree in 2003, since qualifying, Jeremy has enabled his love for food and travel as a passport to many different countries where he has gained experience in food trends, global classics, foreign produce, and leadership.
Jeremy’s agricultural upbringing has had a profound effect on his cooking. He emphasizes the importance of origin using seasonal local produce while identifying quality suppliers. Jeremy has a strong passion for each raw ingredient and the endless possibilities through thoughtful pairings.
